Who controls your data
The app is provided to you through your employer. Your employer is the data controller for the working-time and attendance data you register. We act as the provider of the app and process data on your employer’s behalf.
What data we collect and why
We only collect data that is needed to operate the app. Specifically:
Account and identification data
When you log in, your customer ID, username, and internal user ID are sent to our backend server to authenticate you and to associate the time and attendance data you register with your account.
Location data (including in the background)
- When you stamp in or out on a case or activity, the app collects your device’s GPS coordinates (precise location) and sends them to our backend server. This allows your supervisor to verify that time was registered at the expected work location.
- The app may also use your location for geofencing, so that it can present the cases or activities that are available within your current zone. For geofencing to work, the app may access your location in the background, even when the app is closed or not in use.
- Location data is used solely for the purposes described above. It is not used for advertising, profiling, or any unrelated purpose, and it is not sold.
Time and attendance data
The working hours, activities, comments, and NFC chip identifiers you register are sent to our backend server so your employer can process them.
App analytics
We use PostHog to understand how the app is used (for example, which screens are opened). This includes app interaction events and a device or user identifier. This helps us improve the app.
Crash and diagnostic data
We use Sentry to detect and diagnose crashes and technical errors. This includes crash logs and basic device and diagnostic information. Personally identifying information is not intentionally included in this data.
How your data is shared
We do not sell your personal data. Data is shared only with:
- Your employer, who receives the time, attendance, and location data you register.
- Service providers who process data on our behalf: our backend hosting provider (Microsoft Azure), PostHog (analytics), and Sentry (crash reporting). These providers may only use the data to provide their services to us.
Data security
All data transmitted between the app and our servers is encrypted in transit using HTTPS/TLS.
Data retention
We retain your data for as long as necessary to provide the service and for as long as required by your employer and applicable law. When data is no longer needed, it is deleted or anonymized.
Your rights
Depending on your location and applicable law (including the EU General Data Protection Regulation), you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data, or to restrict or object to its processing. Because your employer is the data controller, please direct such requests to your employer, or contact us at info@nettid.dk and we will assist.
To request deletion of your data, contact us at info@nettid.dk.
Children
The app is intended for use by employees in a workplace context and is not directed at children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date above.
